Interesting news: the American "Arleigh Burke" destroyers do not stand an ocean wave. Heavy damages of hull front section from impacts of waves have been noticed on eleven destroyers of the first and on two of the second series. Destroyers bodies receive damages in the storm sea. Power elements of the construction - deck-beams, frames and longitudinals lose stability, caving in on some inches. Elimination of suchr damages demands dock repair. To tell the truth, I was sure, that at a modern level of shipbuilding such things are excluded. It appears – there are lot of things to study.
