I will not tell about all Arab Emirates, but Dubai - is quite a vapid and sad shit.  It has surprised me as the most artificial city in the world: the grass in rolls, palm trees in packages, stones - directly from the cement factory. In a combination to a room temperature of air and cloudy days, with which I have been met, all this is similar to one big (very big) hall of a hotel. Smells in Dubai also almost don't exist (if they are not delivered here from India or any Iran in the form of spices and aromas). But spices smells only on one of two coast.  I expected to see much more of Muslim exotic, but in Dubai as it turned out, only 18 percent of indigenous population which is safely lost in international crowd.  By the way, about inscriptions: on all traffic signs, signboards and other information things inscriptions are duplicated in English. And all of them please with the absolute harmony between East and West: the representative of east culture will read "IKEA" on his/her native language Hebraically, and to him/her will seem, that in Arabian it is written first of all, and the European will not have any doubts that first of all it is written in English, and already then in Arabian.
